Real Estate transactions with no more than a handshake

The General Exchange, which can be considered the origin of all the individual Exchanges, is primarily used by the Real Estate industry. Listed brokers meet every Thursday from 13.30 to 14.00 on the floor of the Exchange Hall, to exchange information and opinions and to initiate business.

Until the present day, the tradition has been maintained that a visit to the Exchange remains the business focus of established Hamburg estate agents. Face-to-face conversation and a trusting collaboration are today particularly of special value for the purposes of an honourable businessman.

Business trading is based on the Rules and Regulations and Schedules of Fees of the Hamburg General Exchange.
