"FONDS-X®"
Hamburg Exchange Convention (Hamburger Börsentag)

THE HAMBURG STOCK EXCHANGE

The Hamburg Stock Exchange was founded in 1558 and is the oldest of the eight stock exchanges in Germany. As of Sept. 1, 1999 the Hamburg and Hanover Stock Exchanges merged to form a joint organisation, the BÖAG Börsen AG. In addition to traditional securities trading (stocks, bonds, corporate participating certificates, etc.) the Hamburg Stock Exchange has ventured into new business areas such as the START UP MARKET®, which brings young companies in need of capital together with venture-capital initiators. Most recently, the Chamber of Commerce set up the unique nation-wide FONDS-X® trading market for open- and closed-end investment funds, offering private investors numerous benefits as opposed to classic investment funds.

Featuring added attractions for investors such as the Besser-als-Xetra-Garantie, an order processing system superior to the Xetra system as well as highly competitive trading hours from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. the Hamburg Stock Exchange is well prepared to take on its stock exchange rivals. Moreover, the Hamburg Stock Exchange offers investors a variety of seminars on a wide array of investment topics and, together with the Hanseatic Stock Exchange Syndicate of the University of Hamburg e.V., organises the annual Hamburg Exchange Convention every October, the largest finance-orientated congress in northern Germany.
