THE HAMBURG GRAIN EXCHANGE

The quotation commission, to which grain traders and brokers alike belong, meets every Tuesday in Office No. 24 of the Hamburg Exchange to set the wholesale prices for authorised grain, rape and animal feed imports depending on supply and demand. The commission sets current prices and prices for futures, the exchange quotations for a total of 27 different products are then published in the trade press and referred to the agricultural market administrative offices in Bonn, Frankfurt and Brussels as recommended prices.

The authorised member businesses and companies of the Hamburg Grain Exchange are also members of the Grain Traders' Association (VdG). In addition to offering services for its associated members the VdG is the official contact for business and administration in Bonn and Brussels for the still large number of regulated markets.
